Fúil – Cá bhfuil Aoife?

Fúil – Cá bhfuil Aoife? is a project which has grown from my research into medieval women in Ireland and the Irish language.

Gaeilge was the medieval language of Ireland, with Latin and French the other two most widely used languages up until Queen Elizabeth’s reign.

I am exploring opportunities to trace the bloodlines of Aoife MacMurrough and the Irish language’s journey or connection with Europe, bringing together my love of women’s history, language and travel.
